Wholesale and distribution companies across Central Asia often operate under a strict operational divide: accounting and inventory reside in 1C, while sales representatives manage customer conversations in Telegram and WhatsApp. The lack of connection between these two layers causes regular delays and friction.
Inventory Inquiries Slow Down Sales
When a buyer asks about stock availability via a messenger, the sales rep rarely has an immediate answer. To check numbers, they either need access to the accounting software or must ask the warehouse team in an internal group chat.
This internal back-and-forth takes anywhere from several minutes to hours. In competitive wholesale markets, customers often reach out to alternative suppliers while waiting. Furthermore, sales reps frequently quote inventory levels based on outdated sheets, leading to situations where goods promised to one client have already been allocated to another.
Manual Invoicing Bottlenecks
A similar friction point occurs during invoicing. Sales reps copy client details and product lists from chats and send them to the accountant. The accountant manually creates the invoice in 1C, exports a PDF, and sends it back to the sales rep to forward to the buyer.
- Manual data entry leads to errors in tax IDs, company names, and pricing;
- Accountants get overwhelmed at month-end, leaving sales reps waiting for routine documents;
- Managers cannot easily track whether an invoice was paid without directly asking accounting.
Connecting the Two Layers
Companies address this gap by establishing two-way integrations between 1C and their CRM systems, such as shamCRM or similar regional platforms. 1C remains the core repository for financial, tax, and warehouse management, while the CRM handles communications and pipeline tracking.
With synchronization enabled, sales reps check live inventory balances directly in the deal card. Generating an invoice takes a single click, which passes the counterparty details to 1C and pulls the prepared document back into the chat. Once bank payments register in 1C, the deal status automatically advances to shipment.
